Spy Word Find the Imposter
Everyone gets the same secret word, except the imposter, who has to fake it. Talk it over, then vote. Catch the imposter and the crew wins. Miss, and the imposter takes the round.

How to play
A round takes a few minutes. All you need is one iPhone and a group of friends.

Set up the round
Pick a category, the number of players and imposters, and how long everyone gets to talk.

Get your role in secret
Pass the phone around. The crew sees the secret word. The imposter only learns they're the imposter.

Talk it out
Take turns hinting at the word without giving it away. The imposter listens, guesses and tries to blend in.

Vote
Everyone votes in private. If the most-voted player is an imposter, the crew wins. A tie or a miss, and the imposters win.
Two ways to play
Around one phone at the table, or with everyone on their own.
Room
The host creates a room and shares a 5-character code. Friends join on their own iPhones, from the same couch or from anywhere.

Fair imposter turns
Imposter turns even out over a game night, so the same people aren't picked again and again. No one can ever tell who's next.
Five languages
Play in English, French, Spanish, Italian or Persian (Farsi). The words switch with the language you choose.
Your rules
Three or more players, as many imposters as you like (always fewer than half), and a timer from 30 seconds to 10 minutes.
Private reveal
Only the player holding the phone sees their card, and votes are cast in private, one player at a time.

Two screens, one game
Open iPhone Duo like a book and every screen uses both pages: your role card on one side, the round on the other. Stand it up like a laptop and the game splits top and bottom. Folded, it fits the outer display.
And it plays just as well on every other iPhone.

Questions
Is Spy Word free?
Yes. Spy Word is free to download and play, with ads. There are no in-app purchases and no account to create.
How many players do you need?
Three or more. In Pass & Play everyone shares one iPhone; in a Room each player joins on their own phone with the room code.
Does it need an internet connection?
Not for Pass & Play, which works offline. Rooms need an internet connection on every phone.
Can there be more than one imposter?
Yes. You choose how many, as long as the imposters are fewer than half the group. With 6 players, that's up to 2.
How do the imposters win?
If the vote is a tie, or the player with the most votes is crew, the imposters win the round.
Which languages can I play in?
English, French, Spanish, Italian and Persian (Farsi). Pick the language on the setup screen or in the room lobby; the words change with it.
