Leaderboard

My score isn't on the leaderboard

  • Each mode has its own leaderboard. Make sure you're looking at the Easy, Medium or Hard tab for the mode you played.
  • The leaderboard shows the top 50 players in each mode, and your own rank is always shown at the top.
  • If you played offline, your best score is sent the next time you open Gap Runner with a connection.

How do I change my name or avatar?

Tap Player Name on the menu to set the name others see. To change your avatar, open Customize and choose one you've unlocked.

I reinstalled the app and my progress is gone

Gap Runner has no accounts, so your stars, unlocks and settings are saved on your phone. Deleting the app removes them, and they can't be restored.

Playing

How do I unlock themes, ships and avatars?

Themes unlock with your lifetime stars, ships with best scores in a particular mode, and avatars with achievements. Open Customize to see what each one needs. The Space theme, the Shark and the Lightning avatar unlock by watching a short video.

What do hearts do?

Crash while holding a heart and you're placed back in the nearest safe gap with 5 seconds of ghost mode, so you can fly through walls. The ground still counts, so keep your altitude. You can hold up to 3 hearts in a run.

Can I turn off sound or vibration?

Yes. Tap the gear on the menu to switch sound and haptics on or off.

The run paused on its own

Gap Runner pauses when you switch apps, get a call, or fold or turn iPhone Duo. Tap to resume and a 3-2-1 countdown gets you going again.

Ads

Gap Runner is free and shows ads: banners on the menu, pause and game over cards, never while you're flying. Video ads only play when you choose one, to continue a run or to unlock an item. If a video doesn't load, check your connection and try again in a moment.

Your data

Your progress is stored on your phone. The leaderboard keeps your player name, avatar and best score for each mode. The Privacy Policy has the details. To have your leaderboard entry removed, email info@mehdichitsaz.com with your player name.
